I love the Art Deco time period in which most of the Hercule Poirot stories take place. When I watch the series on tv, I wonder where exactly all these beautiful art deco buildings and houses are. I am especially interested in the large houses seen in the movie. I was wondering if anyone here knows where these beautiful houses are? Also, if anyone knows where the film the series (the towns and villages)? It would be very helpful. Thanks.

bct88, welcome to my forums! In answer to your inquiry, Poirot's flat/apartment is actually a real block of flats in London called the Charter House Square. I found that out a few years ago on some other discussion board. T(he things you find out in places like these!)

The writer of the AC reference book "The World of Agatha Christie", Martin Fido, is actually a tour guide of locations used in the "Poirot" series. Unfortunately, he doesn't discuss these in his book. I remember that I visited a webpage on Charter House Square a few years back, but I didn't bookmark that site. Argh.

Anyone else have ideas of some of the locations of these 'Poirot' sites? JCB, do you know?

I don't know much about Poirot. I can tell you the locations for "Poirot: Death on the Nile" and "Marple". St. Mary Mead in the latter is actually Oxfordshire, the smae place used in "Midsomer Murders". Sorery to not be of more help.
