Who is your favorite Poirot actor? It's hands down David Suchet for me. Here are my picks:
1. David Suchet
2. Albert Finney
3. John McGonigle (local stage actor)
4. Peter Ustinov
5. Alfred Molina
That's everyone I've seen as Poirot. I saw John McGongigle in a play of "Black Coffee." He looked and acted exactly like Suchet! Go to http://www.stageloft.com/photos/%7E03_images/black-coffee/black_coffee_2003.html for photos.
Has anyone here seen Austin Trevor or Tony Randall in the part?[/img] |

woah,
the cast in that production look EXACTLY like the cast in a production I saw at the local semi-professional theatre. Alas, Poirot in that sounded Chinese... Afraid I voted for the mastrly Albert Finney. _________________ www.jamescbernthal.tk

I think both Finney and Suchet are both great Poirots. I really enjoyed Albert Finney in Tim Burton's film "Big Fish".
PoirotLover, the actor portraying Poirot in the production "Black Coffee" looked great. His costume is amazing! It looks like something Suchet would've worn in one of the episodes of "Poirot". McGongigle even has the flower lapel (tussie mussie)!!!
JCB, I had the great opportunity of reading your short story that you told us about here, "Murder in Marwick". You did a great job! Kudos to you for your narrating ability. Well done.
I found a website with a few of your short stories for anyone to read. I thought I bookmarked it, but now I realized I didn't! I don't remember the address or the name of the site. Unfortunately, I have to go now because it's late. I'll write again so we can talk about your story and that site. |

Hello James,
Which site was this? I've got stories on a few sites:
www.bewrite.net
www.ukauthors.com
www.nicestories.com
www.fictionline.net
And all my stories that are currently online are available from my own page: www.angelfire.com/ego2/jamescb (if you visit this, please sign the guestbook, becuase it gets abused more often than not).
Thanks very much for the kind words about the story (Even though the unedited done was published in print recently, when I sent them two versions). I submitted it recently to a site dedicated to producing audio versions of stories. They said they'd like to keep it on their reserves list (which isn't "no", because others have been rejected) or I can read it myself. I'm thinking about it. Got to go to school now. What a bore.
Everyone, please read my online newspage dedicated to Christie: www.expage.com/poirotandmarple . Sorry to get off topic.
Thank you! _________________ www.jamescbernthal.tk
