This site, also called "HPC", is dedicated to the fictional detective Hercule Poirot. It also covers some of Agatha Christie's other detectives and mystery novels, including a section on Miss Marple (another of her famous creations). Here in HPC you'll also find out about her other writings such as her plays and poetry. Also included is information on her life.

I absolutely love Agatha Christie because her plots are so original and the characters are realistic. Christie was once declared the best plot creator in all of detective fiction. While many writers perhaps see the plot as a tiresome chore or obstacle, Christie always regarded it with the utmost importance. In fact, Christie said once that she always believed that sex and violence distracted the reader from the main point: the plot.

My first introduction to Agatha Christie was not an Hercule Poirot book. It was Ten Little Indians, the first assigned reading in my senior English class in high school. I am forever grateful for that assignment!
